About the role:
The Culture Specialist collaborate with stakeholders to lead all organizational alignment activities for GDD&T communications.
This role is responsible for developing the communications vision and engagement approach (including cadence, channel, audience and tools).
Activities focus on building organizational agility and change readiness as enablers of ongoing digital transformation.

How you will contribute:

  • Deliver communications services for all activities and assigned projects to the highest standard
  • Provide dynamic communication assets, leveraging all appropriate media to deliver best-in-class communications
  • Generate a range of communications materials and assets for use ensuring ease of access to communications, clarity, and consistency of messages
  • Provide guidance on best practice as required
  • Maintain and deliver against our best-in-class communication strategy
  • Identify and implement improvements to communication process, practices and tools
  • Seek and maintain productive business relationships across DD&T and Takeda and with outside partners to create an ongoing flow of relevant, interesting, and timely communication on digital topics
  • Maintain existing and activate new communications channels that highlight Takeda's digital opportunities, accomplishments, and strategy
  • Remain current on digital and emerging technologies and trends
  • Collect and maintain success metrics to demonstrate return on investment of digital initiatives and communications efforts
  • Conduct stakeholder impact analysis, assess change readiness, and develop change plans that drive successful adoption
  • Manage communications and training analysts to deliver on change management plans
  • Develop change management processes and tools to support the adoption of the changes required by DD&T projects or initiatives

Skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business, or a related field
  • 5–8 years of experience in culture programs, employee engagement, internal communications, or program operations
  • Proven experience executing programs end‑to‑end, from intake and planning through delivery, follow‑up, and retrospectives
  • Strong program and project management skills, including planning, sequencing, risk management, and delivery oversight
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives with shifting priorities and tight timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to operate and improve program cadences, documentation, toolkits, and operational processes
  • Strong internal communications expertise, including executive‑ready writing, storytelling, and content development
  • Experience drafting and publishing high‑quality digital communications (e.g., SharePoint, Viva Engage) with minimal guidance
  • Practical analytics capability, including KPI tracking, qualitative synthesis, and insight‑to‑action planning
  • Ability to translate engagement data and feedback into clear recommendations and implementation plans
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including coordination with cross‑functional teams and external partners
  • Ability to communicate status, risks, trade‑offs, and options clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Experience working in global, cross‑cultural environments across multiple time zones
  • High level of autonomy, sound judgment, and ability to escalate governance or reputational risks appropriately
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to drive alignment without formal authority
  • Demonstrated adaptability and problem‑solving skills in dynamic environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft O365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; SharePoint preferred)
  • Experience using Agile project management tools and ways of working
  • Practical experience applying change management methodologies
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken)
