Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Security Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive security strategies and programs that protect Takeda’s people, assets, products, facilities, information, intellectual property, and reputation in Mexico. This role will ensure operational continuity through proactive risk mitigation and alignment with global security standards, while fostering a strong culture of security across all business functions.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

Security Strategy & Risk Management

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive security strategy tailored to Mexico’s specific risk landscape and aligned with Takeda’s business objectives.
  • Conduct regular security risk assessments for each site, collaborating with site management to identify needs in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Continuously monitor, assess, and respond to emerging threats, geopolitical developments, and environmental risks.
  • Promote a proactive, risk-based security culture across all levels of the organization.

Supply Chain Security

  • Develop a supply chain security strategy aligned with international standards such as C-TPAT, TAPA, and ISO 28000.
  • Audit and ensure compliance with national supply chain security, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate protection for product shipments, warehouse operations, and logistical activities.

Crisis Management & Business Continuity

  • Safeguard operational continuity by establishing and maintaining effective incident response and crisis management protocols.
  • Implement and oversee the regional crisis management strategy in alignment with Takeda’s global framework.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date, site-specific Emergency Response Plans.
  • Manage all aspects of CIRETAK (Crisis, Incident Response, and Executive Travel Awareness Kit) operations to ensure incident response readiness.

Executive Protection & Investigations

  • Provide executive protection services during local and international visits.
  • Lead confidential investigations in partnership with HR, Compliance, and Legal departments.
  • Support the deployment of advanced security technologies to enhance investigative and operational capabilities.

Operational Security Programs

  • Oversee the implementation of integrated security programs across corporate offices, warehouses, operations, and executive residences.
  • Design, implement, and monitor a comprehensive Road Safety Strategy aligned with Takeda’s global standards.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with law enforcement agencies, regulatory authorities, and private security associations.

Training & Compliance

  • Lead the design and delivery of Security Awareness Training for all employees, fostering a culture of vigilance and preparedness.
  • Ensure full compliance with Takeda’s Global Security Standards, policies, and governance requirements.

WHAT YOU BRING TO TAKEDA

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Law, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate security or risk management, ideally within a multinational company.
  • Professional certifications strongly preferred: CPP (Certified Protection Professional), DSE (Diplomado en Seguridad Empresarial), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in crisis management, executive protection, investigations, and supply chain security.
  • Solid understanding of relevant Mexican laws and security regulations.
  • Strong relationships with governmental institutions such as Federal Police, PGJ, PGR, CANIFARMA, and private security organizations.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with HR, Legal, Facilities, Supply Chain, and Compliance.
