THE OPPORTUNITY:

Takeda is looking for a Senior Service Owner who will develop a patient centric technology foundation that enables a personalized patient experience, delivering improved patient outcomes, and generating relevant data. Join Takeda as an Agile Delivery Service Owner where you will support a platform made up of trusted partners providing personalized digital and data-driven solutions to empower patients and their healthcare providers. As part of the Agile Delivery Team, you will report to the Agile Delivery Sub-Chapter Lead.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uses new techniques, delivery experience and business knowledge to drive the enforce existing SOPs and develop new, efficient delivery processes.
  • Work in complex landscape and support simplifying process and technology designs by proposing and executing solutions to highly complex IT problems or processes driven by agile approaches.
  • Execute services workflows and tracks operational metrics.
  • Ensure new platform capabilities are properlly introduced into steady operation.
  • Work on tough problems with other team members and independently solve, with some guidance, very difficult technology problems.
  • Demonstrates advanced tooling and techniques to other technical organizations throughout the company.
  • Act as an SME, Service Lead and Advisor for Agile Delivery.
  • Build trust and relationships with technical teams, through leadership, quality delivery, partnerships, and accountability of Agile Platform delivery in your division.
  • Drive Business as Usual operations.
  • Ensure application of ITIL, Agile and DevOps principles in service delivery.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

  • Degree in Computer Science/Business Informatics or other relevant graduate degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Service Owner/Manager.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Service Management, business-critical technical operations, or relevant project work.
  • Experience as technical leader in enterprise and large-scale operational environments.
  • Experience working with outsourced and remote delivery teams as a virtual team member.
  • Experience managing operational oversight of third-party outsourcing firms and ITSM service level management.
  • Independently manage day to day requests and issues while knowing when to escalate more critical problems or decisions.
  • Knowledge and Understanding of IAAS/PaaS Environments with focus on AWS.
  • Industry and technical certifications are strongly preferred (ITIL/AWS).
  • Ability to work in an agile and rapidly changing environment with high quality deliverables.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical depth into business language.  

Preferred to have:

  • Familiarity with regulated systems – general level of understanding of computer systems validation.
  • Experience working in a life sciences environment.
  • Problem solving experience across all functional layers with an emphasis on quick problem resolution. 
  • Understanding of infrastructure as code, moderm patterns and site reliability engineering concepts.
