Engineering Stores Coordinator

The Engineering Stores Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the engineering stores, ensuring efficient inventory management, and coordinating with the engineering team to meet their requirements for tools, equipment, and spare parts. You will have a background in inventory management, record in innovation / digital solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the engineering stores, ensuring efficient inventory management and organisation.
  • Coordinate with the engineering team to understand their requirements for tools, equipment, and spare parts, and ensure their availability.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and conduct regular stock cycle counting/audits to ensure data accuracy.
  • Assess and assign categorization to all stock parts following OTE ABC status requirements.
  • Develop, implement and report measurements to capture cycle counts, stock outs.
  • Develop PM kit strategies to planned maintenance activities.
  • Review and adjust MRP to reduce inventory value following stock holding reduction objectives.
  • Align all stores processes with the global digital strategy goals: automate, digitise, data trend, AI opportunities.
  • Develop a periodic maintenance strategy for long standing parts to ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to stock levels and minimise stock discrepancies.
  • Process requisitions for new tools, equipment, and spare parts, and liaise with suppliers to ensure delivery and competitive pricing.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in the engineering stores.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in the engineering stores.
  • Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and other relevant metrics for management review.
  • Help develop annual budgets for the engineering stores and monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Participate in any initiatives including training.
  • And promote the corporate values of Takeda within the workplace.
  • Foster, in cooperation with other TILGC staff, an ethos and culture of safety awareness where safety is accepted as an integral part of the business.
  • Ensure completion of all SOP, reading, training and assessment.
  • Other duties and directed by the Manager, Maintenance or other officer appointed by the Board of Directors.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Leaving Certificate or recognised and applicable third level engineering qualification to Diploma Level or Higher is desirable.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a pharmaceutical/medical device or other similar regulated industry.
  • Previous experience working in Engineering, Maintenance or Manufacturing function.

Skills:

  • Operate knowledge of pharmaceutical GMP's and their application to the Central Inventory function Systems Knowledge, SAP, Ariba, and Maximo essential
  • Advanced IT and new ideas capability to support digitisation and data-driven business opportunities / solutions.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Forklift licence counterbalance and reach.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, hazards and appropriate precautions applicable to maintenance work.
