Job Description

Process Development Engineer (Manufacturing)

Job Purpose

Reporting to the P2 Manufacturing Operations Manager, the Process Development Engineer will lead new product introductions and provide technical expertise to ensure robust, compliant, and efficient Drug Product and Packaging operations within the TILGC P2 oncology facility.

How you will contribute:

New Product Introduction & Technology Transfer

  • Lead feasibility assessments and technology transfer for new products and packaging formats.
  • Conduct technical review of packaging artwork and components.
  • Lead process optimisation and validation activities.
  • Optimise equipment parameters including vision and serialisation systems.
  • Interpret regulatory requirements and ensure project alignment.
  • Contribute to CAPEX projects for equipment introduction.

Subject Matter Expertise & Operations Support

  • Act as SME for packaging equipment, vision and serialisation systems.
  • Lead root cause investigations and manage change controls (Trackwise).
  • Support manufacturing schedule adherence through cross-functional collaboration (QC, QA, Supply Chain, CAPEX).
  • Investigate quality events and complete deviations in compliance with GMP.
  • Provide technical guidance to manufacturing teams to optimise performance and changeovers.

General Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement aligned with Takeda’s Agile programme.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, site quality standards and HSE requirements.
  • Foster a culture of safety, integrity, accountability and collaboration.
  • Complete all required documentation and training in a timely manner

What you bring to Takeda:

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing; DP and Packaging experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of vision and serialisation systems advantageous.
  • Strong quality mindset, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
