Job Description

About the Role

The Key Account Manager (KAM) – Gastroenterology in Andalucía is a critical field-based role responsible for ensuring business continuity, growth and customer engagement across key hospital accounts in the East region. The role builds strong, compliant and trust-based relationships with HCPs, hospital pharmacies and decision-makers, ensuring optimal use and availability of Takeda’s GI portfolio.

Evolving under a Tech Forward lens, the KAM GI leverages digital tools, AI-supported insights and omnichannel approaches to increase efficiency, sharpen account prioritization and enhance the quality of scientific and commercial interactions—reinvesting time into strategic account planning, customer value creation and cross-functional collaboration.

How You Will Contribute

Therapy & Product Leadership

  • Deliver agreed GI strategy and tactics across key accounts, ensuring high-quality scientific exchange (on-label) and commercial execution.

  • Lead high-level scientific meetings and act as a trusted therapy partner for prescribers and hospital stakeholders.

  • Serve as a key contact for national product training and therapy support within the assigned territory.

Strategic Account Management

  • Ensure product availability and continuity in collaboration with Market Access and Pharmacy stakeholders.

  • Identify unmet needs and propose innovative, compliant solutions aligned with customer priorities.

Commercial Excellence & Data-Driven Execution

  • Analyze sales performance, competitor activity and territory trends using CRM, dashboards and AI-supported analytics.

  • Continuously adapt strategies based on insights, focusing effort on the highest-impact accounts and opportunities.

  • Share best practices and successful tactics within the KAM team to improve overall field effectiveness.

Innovation, Omnichannel & Tech Forward Adoption

  • Integrate omnichannel tactics and digital engagement into account plans in alignment with brand strategy.

  • Use AI-enabled tools to support customer segmentation, call planning, insight generation and performance tracking.

  • Automate low-value administrative tasks (reporting, data consolidation) to reinvest time in strategic thinking, customer engagement and storytelling.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Medical, Market Access, Pharmacy, Marketing and FLMs to ensure a coordinated One Takeda approach.

  • Actively contribute field insights to inform brand, access and medical strategies.

Compliance & Values

  • Act in full compliance with ethical, legal and regulatory standards.

  • Ensure PTRB principles guide decision-making.

  • Report adverse events according to Pharmacovigilance procedures.

  • Act as a role model of Takeda values and leadership behaviors.

  • Excellent relationship-building, influence and communication skills.

  • Strong business acumen and analytical mindset.

  • Digital fluency: CRM, dashboards, AI-supported tools and omnichannel platforms.
