Job Description
OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
- Manage strategy and embed new culture across the site.
- Contribute to develop Best-in-class organization, by internal/external communications providing right contents on right time to right people in right ways
- Ensure employees of organisations are kept informed and motivated through several channels, such as intranet, email bulletins, social media, regular newsletters and townhall meeting.
- Establish strong presence of Hikari plant to contribute site business strategy
- Work closely with SLTs, establish organisational messages and keep staff informed for capability developments.
- Cultivate proactive communication skills and systems to develop, support, and promote goals in GMS (Global Manufacturing & Supply) -Japan
- Formulate their organization’s internal response to crisis PR situations.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Fulfill the site with highly motivated employees in all levels of employee.
- Create and execute an effective GMS and GQ (Global Quality) communications strategy to engage stakeholders and develop Takeda’s reputation: Within the Japan Region to inform, engage and inspire local employees / within GMS/GQ community / Across the wider Takeda organization providing visibility on the contributions of the Japanese plants to Takeda’s strategy, goals and priorities / Externally, based on key events in Hikari to enhance our reputation with partners, potential employees, and other stakeholders. Act as a spokesperson.
- Establish and run a network of site communicators in Hikari, Japan and GMSGQ globally.
- Develop capabilities of the GMS and GQ communicators in Hikari.
- Engage in various projects to ensure successful outcome through proactive and detail oriented communication planning and execution in Hikari.
- Establish and maintain tools, channels and processes to ensure effective communications cascade and aligned localization of global campaigns, initiatives and projects on site level.
- Support global and regional media / initiatives in line with GMS strategy.
- Build strong relationship with all communicators in Japan (R&D, Japan Pharma Business Unit, and Corporate Communication) to realize the best-in-class organization

- In-depth knowledge of all aspects of communications including executive, internal and external communications, crisis management, and public relations etc.
- Demonstrated experience in creating strategic communication plans.
- Fluent business level Japanese/English capability,writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry to explain key activities in the value chains

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor degree in the related fields (eg. Communication, MBA)
- Extensive relevant communication role experience (4R) in large complex organisation(s) with multiple stakeholders (including matrix relationships). Ideally previous industry related experience, international company experience, multi-cultural environment.
- Minimum of 5 years communication or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated solid ethics and integrity
- Fluent business level Japanese/English capability, writing and verbal communication skills
- Skills for communication with media
- Strong presentation and facilitation skill
- Business acumen and commercial awareness
- Openness and flexibility to deal with and communicate change effectively
- Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems quickly and effectively
- Manufacturing and / or QAQC knowledge and experience are preferable
- Experience working in customer relations is preferable
- Experience in GMP workplace is preferable
- Preferred to have experience in managing team with applicable EHS perspectives such as waste, waste water, exhaust gas, noise, GHG reduction, health, and safety. (5 years for department head and 3 years for Group Managers)
- Preferred to have experience in ISO 14001/45001 management system to carry out continuous improvement of site.

Takeda Compensation and Benefits Summary:
Allowances: Commutation, Housing, Overtime Work etc.
Salary Increase: Annually, Bonus Payment: Twice a year
Working Hours: Headquarters (Osaka/ Tokyo) 9:00-17:30, Production Sites (Osaka/ Yamaguchi) 8:00-16:45, (Narita) 8:30-17:15, Research Site (Kanagawa) 9:00-17:45
Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays, May Day, Year-End Holidays etc. (approx. 123 days in a year)
