Job Title: National Commercial Lead
Location: Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam
About the role:
Vaccine Business Unit (VBU) at Takeda Vietnam carry the mission of protecting Vietnamese people against dengue fever via vaccination. Dengue remains a high burden to healthcare system globally as well as in the country.
The National Commercial Lead (NCL) is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the commercial success of Takeda’s Vaccine Business Unit across all customer segments, channels, and geographical regions in Vietnam. This role will lead the national sales strategy, customer engagement, and foster cross functional collaboration to ensure sustainable growth and impactful market presence of Takeda’s dengue vaccine and future vaccine portfolio.
How you will contribute:
Commercial Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute a unified commercial strategy across public, private, strategic, and general customer segments.
Align national sales plan, tactics with brand strategy and business objectives.
Lead forecasting, target setting, and performance tracking across all channels.
People Leadership & Team Development
Build and lead a high-performing, agile commercial team including Route-to-Market Excellence
Sr. Manager, Regional/Area Managers, and Key Account Manager/Executive.
Foster a culture of excellence in execution, compliance, and continuous learning.
Coach and mentor team members to develop future leaders within the organization.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary commercial contact for key external stakeholders including KOLs, HCPs,
HCOs, CDCs, hospitals, Institutes, and vaccination centers.
Collaborate closely with Strategic Planner and Activation team on strategic account
(ePlus/VNVC, FPT Long Chau) planning and customer engagement initiatives both nationwide
and region focused.
Ensure consistent and compliant communication across all customer touchpoints aligning with Takeda-ism.
Market Intelligence & Business Insights
Monitor market trends, regulatory updates, and competitive landscape to inform strategy.
Lead data-driven decision-making through collaboration with Business Intelligence and Commercial Excellence teams.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Partner with Medical, Marketing, Supply Chain, Business Operation, and other cross functions teams to ensure seamless execution of commercial plans.
Drive One-Takeda approach in all customer-facing activities.
Operational Excellence & Budget Management
Manage commercial OPEX across all channels and regions.
Ensure efficient resource allocation and ROI optimization.
What you bring to Takeda:
Education & Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with 5+ years in commercial leadership
Excellent communication, presentation skills and storytelling in both English and Vietnamese
Compliance mind-set is a must
Proven experience in vaccines or public health programs is highly desirable

Customer complaint handling
Crisis management and PV related matters, especially if SAE happens
External handling regarding supply matter of Strategic Customers vs. Public and General Customers
Internal and External Contacts
• Internal stakeholders:
o Vaccine BU: Marketing, Medical, Strategic Planning and Activators.
o Cross functions: Business Operation, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, PV, Ethnic and Compliance, Human Resource, and Finance.
• External stakeholders: Distributor, Healthcare Organization (Hospital, Institutes, CDC):
procurement, pharmacy department; HCPs (KOL, prescribers, influencers (treatment physician,
pharmacist), Vaccination center director or area manager.
Other Job Requirements
Travelling time: up to 60% a month
May need to work at weekends (eg. symposium, congress) or evening (eg. mini symposium)
