Purpose
The Head of BOPM – Türkiye plays a critical enterprise role in shaping and executing Takeda’s strategy by leading integrated business operations and portfolio management across the Türkiye market. This role acts as a strategic advisor to the General Manager and the Leadership Team, driving functional excellence across Strategy, Business Intelligence, Sales Force Effectiveness, Training, Communications, Governance, and Meetings & Events. The role ensures alignment with EAMEA and GEM strategies, enhances organizational capabilities, and positions BOPM as a key enabler of performance, simplification, and innovation.
Role Core Responsibilities & Accountabilities
1. Strategic Planning & Portfolio Management
- Support the annual business planning cycle (Brand Plans, MRP, LRF, MYC, LBE) in close partnership with franchise teams and finance.
- Oversee strategic portfolio planning across the product lifecycle, ensuring pipeline readiness and lifecycle optimization.
- Identify market shaping and therapeutic area growth opportunities aligned with Türkiye’s priorities and regional ambitions.
- Drive cross-functional launch readiness across therapeutic areas; monitor execution and measure outcomes.
- Lead country-level transformation projects, strategic business optimization, and operational restructuring.
2. Business Intelligence (BI) & Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE)
- Own all SFE levers: field force sizing, territory optimization, incentive design, performance dashboards, KPIs, and cycle targeting.
- Ensure CRM effectiveness and data-driven decision-making through robust governance and user adoption.
- Deliver integrated business insights by leveraging internal data, secondary analytics, forecasting tools, and benchmarking.
- Establish a continuous improvement loop to evolve field performance and channel effectiveness.
3. Governance & Performance Monitoring
- Lead country-level governance frameworks, including business reviews, KPIs tracking.
- Serve as custodian of performance reporting, ensuring timely insights for decision-making.
- Ensure value-focused resource deployment aligned with ROI and strategic priorities.
4. Internal & External Communications
- Drive executive communications and internal engagement strategy aligned with Takeda’s transformation narrative.
- Oversee corporate and digital communications, ensuring Takeda’s reputation is elevated across stakeholders.
- Lead leadership messaging and cross-functional communication to drive cultural alignment and inspiration.
5. Capability Building & Training
- Define and execute capability-building strategies to address business and organizational needs.
- Collaborate with HR to implement targeted development programs and succession planning.
- Design and roll out training frameworks tailored to commercial capabilities, portfolio acumen, and strategic thinking.
6. Meetings, Events & Compliance
- Manage logistics, content strategy, and governance for major meetings (Cycle Meetings, P2P, internal leadership forums).
- Ensure high-quality and compliant execution of all internal and external events.
- Oversee transparency disclosures, value transfers, and sponsorship reporting as per EFPIA and local standards.
7. Regional & Global Alignment
- Serve as Türkiye’s main liaison for BOPM with EAMEA, GEM, and Global teams.
- Ensure timely, transparent, and strategic communication of Türkiye's needs, opportunities, and updates.
- Represent Türkiye in Area and Global forums, contributing to regional strategy shaping and alignment.
Role Mandatory Responsibilities
- Uphold Takeda’s Information Security and Acceptable Use of Technology Policies.
- Act as a Compliance and Quality ambassador, ensuring all activities reflect Takeda’s values and ethical standards.
- Complete all mandatory training requirements in a timely manner and demonstrate consistent compliance with global and local policies.
- Promote a culture of transparency, speaking up, and values-based decisionmaking (Takeda-ism).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or MSc) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in commercial operations, business planning, or strategy.
- Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and strategic projects.
- Strong analytical and project management capabilities with a focus on performance impact.
- Deep knowledge of the Türkiye healthcare ecosystem, regulatory landscape, and pharmaceutical environment.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Turkish.
- Demonstrated enterprise thinking, agility, and stakeholder management across diverse teams.
- Ability to lead without formal authority and drive alignment in a matrix environment.
