Job Description

Job Purpose


The Import & Demand Planning Lead is a key leadership role responsible for managing demand
planning, inventory control, and import operations across both regional and global supply chain processes.
This role ensures that products are delivered on time in line with customer demand, optimizes stock levels,
ensures compliance with regulations, and manages the seamless integration of all related operations.
Operating at both strategic and operational levels, this position plays a critical role in driving supply chain
efficiency. This role also acts as a key liaison between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of supply chain strategies with business goals.


Role Core Responsibilities & Accountabilities


Demand Planning & Inventory Management


• Effectively manage daily demand planning operations within the supply chain.
• Prepare demand forecasts using data analysis and statistical modeling techniques.
• Monitor forecast accuracy, drive continuous improvements, and align forecasts with business
targets.
• Define and manage target stock levels for Takeda Turkey, ensuring optimal inventory levels to
maximize service levels.
• Manage inventory outcomes and plan replenishment processes to prevent stockouts.
• Execute finished goods forecasting and supply planning activities.
• Organize and lead monthly Demand Review Meetings; update system loads and forecast figures
accordingly.
• Ensure demand planning KPIs are tracked and reported regularly.


Supply Chain Communication & Coordination


• Ensure timely and complete communication of demand and supply data across the end-to-end
supply chain.
• Maintain effective coordination with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, Finance, and Business Unit (BU) teams.
• Collaborate closely with BU teams to align business processes and planning tools.
• Ensure timely and accurate achievement of defined goals and objectives.
• Act as a key point of contact for regional/global supply chain stakeholders.


Order Management & Logistics Operations


• Create, manage, and track customer and supplier orders.
• Collaborate with the Global Logistics Team to ensure timely execution of orders and shipments.
• Coordinate shipping processes with facilities and carriers to ensure on-time product delivery.
• Monitor logistics KPIs and proactively resolve delivery issues.


Import Operations & Customs Management


• Manage import processes in alignment with supply plans.
• Stay up to date with relevant customs regulations and ensure proper implementation.
• Oversee relationships and performance of customs brokers and Ministry of Health (MoH) consultants.

• Manage global Certificate of Analysis (CoA) processes and import license procedures in line with MoH requirements.
• Ensure accuracy of customs declarations and take responsibility for customs clearance costs.
• Administer and oversee contracts with customs brokers and regulatory consultants.
• Ensure risk mitigation strategies are in place for import-related disruptions.


System Development & Process Improvement


• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve all supply chain systems related to demand
forecasting, inventory control, order processing, import, and customs operations.
• Support data-driven decision-making and develop new digital solutions for process automation.
• Review existing business processes regularly and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Lead or support digital transformation initiatives within the supply chain function.


Role Mandatory Responsibilities


• Adhere to Takeda’s Information Security and Technology Use policies.
• Serve as a Quality Ambassador by promptly reporting any product-related concerns to the Quality
team.
• Uphold integrity and ethical conduct in alignment with Takeda’s values (Takeda-ism).
• Complete all mandatory trainings and ensure team compliance with relevant policies and
procedures.
• Lead by example in the accurate and timely use of company systems (e.g., Concur, Dakika, Bloom), fostering process discipline across the team.
• Proactively raise compliance or ethical concerns through appropriate Takeda reporting channels.

Role required Qualifications & Capabilities

• A Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain or equivalent
• 5 years of experience
• Fluency in English both written and spoken
• Ability to solve problems holistically
• Good working knowledge of MS Office (expert knowledge of Excel), SAP
• Good Leadership skills
• Analytical & Strategic thinking
• Good team player
• Proactive and initiative taker
• Patient Focus, Strong Communication Skills, Focusing on Improvement.
• Project management skills
• Ability to think “outside the box” and be well versed in the global distribution
• Experience in pharmaceutical or FMCG industry is a plus
