Job Description

Job Purpose

The Market Access & Health Economics Lead is responsible for executing market access strategies and health economics initiatives that support optimal pricing, reimbursement and sustainable access outcomes for Takeda’s portfolio. The role contributes to Takeda’s reputation and visibility across the healthcare ecosystem by supporting qualified engagement with ministries, institutions, agencies, payers and other relevant stakeholders, in coordination with Market Access & Public Affairs Lead. By supporting reimbursement processes, alternative access pathways, policy monitoring, stakeholder engagement and launch access planning, the role helps ensure sustainable access conditions and alignment with Takeda’s values (Takeda-ism). The position requires strong collaboration with internal and external partners, analytical thinking, health economics understanding and a proactive mindset to adapt to evolving healthcare dynamics.

Role Core Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Execute market access strategies in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all preparation and approval processes.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of reimbursement dossiers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Maintain and update stakeholder mapping, tracking communication plans and engagement activities with key partners.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with relevant authorities, institutions, payers and policy influencers, in coordination with the Market Access & Public Affairs Lead and relevant cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor changes in pricing, reimbursement policies and healthcare regulations, and assess their impact on Takeda’s portfolio.
  • Coordinate dossier evaluations and respond to data requests and scientific analysis needs from regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of relevant applications to TITCK and SGK.
  • Represent Takeda at relevant healthcare congresses, workshops and stakeholder meetings, in line with MAPA priorities and approved external engagement plans.
  • Identify and implement innovative approaches in access and health economics projects, contributing to Takeda’s competitive positioning.
  • Explore alternative access pathways for pipeline and in-line products, including private market opportunities.
  • Maintain engagement with private insurance companies and foundations to understand market dynamics and unlock access opportunities.
  • Support launch planning and execution by embedding access and health economics considerations early in the process.
  • Support the annual price renewal process by coordinating relevant documentation and cross-functional input within agreed responsibilities.
  • Coordinate MRP, MYC and LRF processes with accuracy and cross-functional input.
  • Monitor and support the assessment of pricing and reimbursement guideline revisions, ensuring strategic adaptation to regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to provide input into pricing, reimbursement, health economics and access strategies, and contribute to affiliate planning.

  • Lead by example in the accurate and timely use of company systems, such as Concur, Dakika and Bloom, fostering process discipline across the team.

Role required Qualifications & Capabilities

Qualifications

  • Education: University degree from a reputable university.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in Market Access, Health Economics, Reimbursement or Government Affairs, including at least 2 years in a managerial or project leadership role.
  • Language: Fluent in Turkish and proficient in English, written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Digital Dexterity & Tech Savviness: Proficient in using digital tools, pricing databases, data sources and health economics platforms to support access strategies and decision-making.
