About the Role
As the Business Process Lead (BPL), Supply Chain Planning Implementation Lead, you will play a key role in Takeda’s global digital transformation journey across Supply Chain Planning. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Planning Systems, you will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of planning processes and digital solutions across demand, supply, inventory, and S&OP planning.
This role operates in a highly collaborative global environment, partnering with Manufacturing Sites, External Operations, Finance, Global Supply Chain (GSC), and Digital, Data & Technology (DD&T) teams. You will help define the future-state Supply Chain Planning landscape by driving standardization, governance, process excellence, and adoption of modern planning technologies. You may also serve as a strategic deputy to the Head of Supply Chain Planning Systems, supporting portfolio management, governance, and organizational initiatives.
How You Will Contribute
- Lead global Supply Chain Planning transformation initiatives and digital solution deployments across manufacturing and enterprise organizations.
- Drive implementation of planning technologies, including SAP-based planning solutions, from design and build through deployment, stabilization, and adoption.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, and DD&T to define strategy, prioritize initiatives, and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Build organizational capabilities through training, change management, community engagement, and best-practice sharing.
- Provide strategic leadership and thought partnership to advance Takeda’s digital Supply Chain vision and future planning capabilities.
- Support cross-functional decision-making through data-driven analysis, stakeholder alignment, and effective communication.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Planning, Supply Chain Systems, or related digital transformation roles.
- Deep expertise in end-to-end Supply Chain Planning processes, including demand, supply, inventory, and S&OP planning.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise planning solutions such as SAP ECC, SAP APO, SAP IBP, OBP, or similar planning technologies.
- Proven ability to lead complex global transformation, process standardization, and system implementation initiatives.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, influencing, and change management capabilities within a matrix organization.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable business decisions.
Takeda Compensation and Benefits Summary:

Salary Increase: Annually, Bonus Payment: Twice a year
Working Hours: Headquarters (Osaka/ Tokyo) 9:00-17:30, Production Sites (Osaka/ Yamaguchi) 8:00-16:45, (Narita) 8:30-17:15, Research Site (Kanagawa) 9:00-17:45
Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays, May Day, Year-End Holidays etc. (approx. 123 days in a year)
