Job Description

The Global Supply Chain Planning team within Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective flow of materials and products across Takeda’s global network. The team drives strategic planning, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives to support supply reliability and operational excellence across manufacturing sites.

As a Global Supply Chain Analyst Intern, you will support the enhancement of Takeda’s annual Site Assessment review process. This includes improving the effectiveness of scoring methodologies, streamlining workflows, and developing automation tools and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.

How You Will Contribute:

As a Global Supply Chain Analyst Intern, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support the review and enhancement of the Site Assessment scoring methodology.

  • Analyze historical assessment data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and refine assessment criteria.

  • Design and build interactive dashboards to automate scoring and reporting.

  • Assist in documenting processes and creating training materials for future assessments.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic planning discussions.

  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.

Internship Development Opportunities:

  • Gain hands-on experience in global supply chain planning and performance management.

  • Develop skills in data analysis, visualization, and dashboard creation using tools like Power BI or Tableau.

  • Learn how large-scale manufacturing organizations assess and monitor site performance.

  • Build cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

  • Receive mentorship and feedback from experienced professionals in the GMS organization.

Job Requirements:

  • This position will be Hybrid (1–3 days/week in office) out of the Lexington, MA location.

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and Excel.

  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and performance metrics.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Internship Eligibility

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship 

  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026 or later 

  • The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (May 26th-August 14th or June 15th- August 21st)  

  • The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames

  • Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates  

  • Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$21.00 - $46.00

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include:

  • Paid sick time

  • Commuter Benefit: To offset your work-commute expenses, Takeda provides U.S. employees with a fixed monthly subsidy to be used for either public transportation (transit) or parking.
