About the Role
The AssociateDirector, Patient Advocacy and Strategic Partnerships shapes and executes patient advocacy strategies that align with therapeutic area priorities, policy and accessobjectives, and broader corporate goals. This roleleadsthe planning and delivery of patient advocacy programs and engagementsensuring high-quality, compliant execution and measurable impact.
The AssociateDirector builds and stewards thoughtful, ethical, and compliant partnerships with patient advocacy organizations and coalitions, representing Takeda in external forums as needed to advance shared advocacy, policy, and accessobjectives. As a cross-functional collaborator across USBU, InternationalBU, and Strategy and Portfolio Developmentstakeholders, this role embeds the patient perspective into lifecycle strategy and helps strengthen organizational capability through scalable engagement models, internal best practices, and contributions to the Patient Advocacy Community of Practice.
How You Will Contribute:
Patient Advocacy Strategy
Shape and execute patient advocacy strategiesaligned with corporate priorities, therapeutic area goals, and accessobjectives.
Engage with cross-functional team planning to ensure maximum impact of TPA initiatives.

Planand implement periodic Patient Forum sessions,Collaborating for Care and other TA-levelandabove-brandengagements
Structureand deliver TA-specific patient advocacy advisory boards

Contribute to the development and delivery of Patient Advocacy Community of Practice programs and resources
Build scalable engagement models andinternal bestpractices for ethical, compliant patientgroupinteractions.
Strengthen organizational capability in patient-centered strategy.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degreerequired; master’s degree in relevant discipline preferred
5+years of experience inthe pharmaceutical industry (patient advocacy, patient experience, government relations, orpublic affairs) orthenonprofitor trade association sectors, preferably withpharma collaboration exposure
Team player who can collaborate,supportand implement both internal and external programs and meetingsto advance company objectives
Demonstrated experience executing cross-functional projects
Strong project management skills
Knowledge of compliance frameworks and grant processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advancedproficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.), data management systems, virtual collaboration platforms, and CRM/reporting tools
Travel:
Occasional overnight or weekend travel

Lexington, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:
$153,600.00 - $241,340.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
