Job Description
The RTR Senior Specialist is responsible for managing and performing general accounting activities with a strong focus on General Ledger, Group Reporting, statutory reporting, account reconciliations, and support for financial controls and audits. This role ensures accurate financial records, compliance with reporting standards, and timely completion of month-end and reporting processes. In addition, the position supports budgeting, financial analysis, and accounting process improvements, contributing to Takeda’s mission through reliable, high-quality financial support in a dynamic, international environment.
Accountabilities
- Perform month-end closing activities in the areas of General Ledger and Group Reporting.
- Apply general ledger knowledge independently to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards.
- Reconcile accounts and records based on supporting documentation and resolve discrepancies on time.
- Manage financial transaction recording standards and ensure proper accounting treatment of standard and non-standard transactions.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and support financial statement reporting in Hyperion/HFM for internal and external audiences.
- Coordinate the statutory reporting process and cooperate with external providers in statutory and tax reporting activities.
- Support financial audits, act as a point of contact for auditors, and ensure timely provision of required documentation.
- Perform internal controls related to General Ledger and Group Reporting and maintain robust financial integrity.
- Prepare local GAAP adjustments, balance sheet and profit and loss analysis, and advanced journal voucher calculations.
- Support complex entity reporting, including N&D coordination and other non-standard reporting requirements.
- Contribute to budgeting, financial planning, and financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
- Support implementation of new IFRS requirements and Group Policies.
- Handle non-standard accounting activities, including export/NPP programs, libro giornale, and statistical reporting.
- Coordinate accounting-related projects and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and advisory support to team members within the scope of established policies and procedures.
Requirements
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional experience in General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Reporting, and/or broader financial accounting activities.
- Strong knowledge of SAP and Hyperion HFM
- Advanced Excel skills.
- English language skills at fluent level are required.
- German language skills at an intermediate level are required.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and reporting standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently within defined procedures and policies.
- High level of discipline, dedication, and resilience under pressure.
Preferred:
- Experience in BPO or Shared Services is considered an asset.
- Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or accounting project coordination is an advantage.
- Additional accounting courses or professional certifications are beneficial.
- CPA certification is an advantage.
