Job Description

Tax Solutions is a team of experienced professionals providing tax compliance and tax reporting support to Takeda entities across multiple European and international markets. Tax compliance is a critical process with high reputational and financial impact. Accuracy, timeliness, and strong controls are essential.

As a SeniorDirect Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for direct tax compliance and tax accounting activities, primarily focused on Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and withholding tax (WHT). You will work closely with Global Tax, local finance teams, external service providers, and auditors. The role also supports process improvements, automation initiatives, and participation in global tax projects.

The position reports to the Tax Solutions Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Corporate Income Tax (CIT) compliance for assigned legal entities
  • Work with external service providers, statutory reporting teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of tax data and deliverables
  • Support and monitor withholding tax (WHT) obligations and ensure consistency between WHT and corporate income tax reporting
  • Prepare and support quarterly and annual income tax accounting, including
  • Preparation of income tax calculations and tax provision workpapers used for financial reporting
  • Tax reporting in Hyperion and support of period‑end close activities
  • Liaise with Central / Global Tax teams on tax compliance, tax accounting, and transfer pricing‑related topics
  • support the implementation of direct tax legislative changes relevant to assigned entities
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and audit‑ready tax documentation and supporting files
  • Support tax audits and respond to information requests from auditors and tax authorities in cooperation with Global Tax
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day cooperation with externalservice providers for assigned entities
  • Support TBS and local finance teams with ad‑hoc direct tax questions and clarifications
  • Participate in process harmonization, standardization, and automation initiatives within the Tax Solutions team
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and company policies
  • Manage assigned direct tax processes independently, meet deadlines, and proactively escalate risks or issues when needed
  • Contribute to cross‑functional initiatives, including legal entity changes, integrations, and system or process improvements

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Finance, Accounting, or Tax
  • Preferably, at least 5 years of experience in a tax or accounting role, including:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in direct tax compliance and/or tax accounting, preferably in a multinational or shared services environment
  • Good knowledge of Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Withholding Tax (WHT)
  • Understanding of tax accounting principles and financial reporting requirements
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Knowledge of controls, audit processes, and SOX compliance
  • Very good command of English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities independently
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High level of accuracy and quality orientation

  • Team player with ability to work across functions, cultures, and locations

Base Salary Range:

zł138,300.00 - zł190,190.00
