Job Description

About the role

Are you passionate about improving patient access and navigating complex regional healthcare environments?

Takeda is seeking an experienced In-Field Market Access Manager to help secure sustainable and timely access to our portfolio across assigned Spanish autonomous communities. In this strategic, field-based role, you will translate national pricing and reimbursement decisions into effective regional and hospital-level access.

You will develop regional access strategies, build trusted relationships with senior healthcare stakeholders, and bring together cross-functional teams to deliver coordinated solutions that support patients and maximise long-term portfolio value.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute Regional Access Plans aligned with brand strategies, portfolio priorities, and the evolving healthcare environment.
  • Provide regional market insights to Pricing & Reimbursement and New Product Planning teams, supporting new product launches and lifecycle management.
  • Lead access discussions, tender processes, pricing negotiations, and contracting activities with hospitals, procurement teams, and regional health authorities.
  • Identify and implement innovative access solutions, including managed entry agreements, value-based contracts, and alternative pricing models.
  • Build trusted relationships with Regional Health Authorities, Hospital CEOs and CFOs, Pharmacy Directors, procurement leaders, and other institutional decision-makers.
  • Coordinate colleagues across Market Access, Commercial, Medical, Marketing, HEOR, Pricing, Public Affairs, KAM, and MSL teams to deliver integrated customer engagement.
  • Use digital platforms, dashboards, data analytics, and AI-enabled insights to improve forecasting, scenario planning, and decision-making.
  • Share field insights and best practices across the organisation, supporting collaboration across brands, franchises, and geographies.
  • Ensure all activities comply with applicable laws, Takeda policies, pharmacovigilance requirements, and relevant EFPIA and Farmaindustria codes.

What you bring

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Health Economics, Business, or another relevant discipline.
  • Significant experience in Market Access, Pricing and Reimbursement, Institutional Relations, or Healthcare Management.
  • Strong knowledge of Spain’s regional healthcare systems, including autonomous community structures, tenders, hospital pharmacy dynamics, contracting, and budget-impact assessment.
  • Experience developing access strategies and engaging senior institutional stakeholders.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to influence and coordinate teams without formal line authority.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder-management, and influencing capabilities.
  • Strong digital proficiency and data literacy, including experience using dashboards, analytical tools, or AI-supported insights.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • A strong commitment to compliance, ethical decision-making, and patient-focused outcomes.

What will help you succeed

You will be comfortable operating autonomously in Spain’s decentralised healthcare environment and adapting your approach to different regional implementation pathways, formulary processes, budget priorities, and institutional stakeholders.

You will combine strategic thinking with strong field execution, using evidence and customer insight to make timely decisions. Success will also require an enterprise mindset, personal accountability, and the ability to balance patient needs, trust, reputation, and business priorities.

Why Takeda?

At Takeda, our work is guided by our commitment to patients and underpinned by our values. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to patient access while partnering with colleagues across the organisation to shape innovative, evidence-based solutions.

You will be encouraged to role-model a culture that is patient-centric, people-minded, respectful and collaborative, decisive, performance-focused, and enterprise-oriented.

Ready to make an impact?

If you are motivated by complex access challenges, strategic stakeholder engagement, and the opportunity to improve how patients access innovative medicines, we would welcome your application.

Takeda is committed to fostering an inclusive working environment where colleagues can contribute, develop, and thrive.
