Role Overview
We’re seeking a hands-on Marketing Technology Lead to join our Data, Digital & Technology team at Takeda Iberia. You will manage and oversee the daily operations of our enterprise marketing stack while driving innovation through new marketing technologies, ensuring best-in-class content delivery and user experience.
You will be the point of contact with regional and global teams to continuously evolving our marketing strategies with emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Technology Operations
Research & Recommend: Evaluate emerging marketing-tech vendors and platforms; propose solutions that optimize reach, efficiency and ROI.
Administer & Operate: Serve as Salesforce Marketing Cloud administrator—manage user roles, business units, data extensions, journey builder, email studio, mobile studio, and automations.
Campaign Activation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable omnichannel campaign execution using platform capabilities such as automation, segmentation, modular content workflows, and consent management using enterprise tools.
Integration & Architecture:
Integrate Salesforce Marketing Cloud, CDP and related systems (e.g., CRM, analytics, web CMS) via APIs and middleware.
Architect and maintain a coherent, scalable marketing-technology ecosystem.
Data Quality & Governance: Monitor data ingestion and hygiene; establish SLAs and dashboards to track performance, deliverability, and engagement metrics.
Technical Review & Decommissioning:
Conduct regular technical and security reviews of existing marketing products.
Identify, sun-down or consolidate under-utilized or redundant tools.
Vendor & Budget Management:
Negotiate contracts, manage licensing budgets, and approve new purchases in alignment with procurement policies.
Track spend and ROI across all marketing-tech investments.
HCP Portal (Takeda Pro) Management
Drupal CMS & Webmastering level:
Lead content deployment, site configuration, module updates, and performance optimization.
Ensure accessibility, security patches, and compliance with internal governance.
User Experience & Support:
Troubleshoot portal issues; liaise with external agencies or IT for backend fixes.
Train internal stakeholders on CMS workflows and best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Enablement
Partner with global and regional stakeholders to understand business strategy and design solutions aligned to business needs.
Work closely with Data & Insights team to maintain reporting dashboards and deliver actionable analytics.
Provide technical and functional support for digital marketing capabilities until platform support operational processes and tools are mature enough for transfer to a steady state, run organization.
Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and IT Security to ensure all marketing technologies and platforms meet regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing Technology or related field.
Experience:
5+ years in a marketing-technology or marketing-operations role within a regulated industry (pharma, biotech, healthcare preferred).
Deep hands-on expertise with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio).
Strong knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud (Customer Data Platform) and data integration patterns.
Proven Drupal CMS administration and webmastering experience.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in HTML5, CSS, XML, JavaScript, SQL, and RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with middleware platforms (e.g., Mulesoft,) for system integrations.
Understanding of data governance, privacy (GDPR), and security best practices.
Soft Skills:
Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
Curious to learn new skills and explore new technologies and platforms
Strong communicator—able to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
Desirable qualifications
Experience with additional marketing-automation platforms: Adobe Campaign or similar tools.
Knowledge of agile/SCRUM methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
Certifications in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Drupal.
Experience with other MarTech stack (e.g. SpotME, Brightcove, etc)
