Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE

The role will spearhead Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) initiatives for Vaccine BU, acting as the engine for analytics, performance tracking, and continuous business insights.

It will drive field force design, segmentation, and targeting while ensuring seamless CRM adoption, maintenance, and usage across teams. By leading periodic reporting and dashboarding, the role will deliver actionable insights that guide strategy, support new product launches, and optimize resource deployment.

Through a strong focus on data-driven decision-making and agile market feedback loops, this position will enable commercial teams to achieve sustainable growth and competitive advantage.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Force Effectiveness (30%)

  • Enhance sales force productivity through the implementation and monitoring of CRM tools and metrics.
  • Develop and distribute comprehensive reports to drive business performance.
  • Validate and manage customer databases for effective targeting.
  • Provide analytical support to sales teams, regional managers, national sales managers, key accounts, and marketing teams.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and refining SFE processes and tools.

CRM Management (30%)

  • Oversee the execution of product strategies by the sales force as directed by the marketing team.
  • Conduct field visits to ensure strategy implementation and selling skills.
  • Track and assess the effectiveness of SFE measures related to performance.
  • Identify and address gaps in the sales force's understanding and use of available tools.
  • Champion CRM systems, providing support and training on usage, and manage system updates or changes.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to sales teams to drive continuous improvement.

Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) Management (20%)

  • Implement and manage incentive plans for the sales force and other departments, in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop innovative SIP structures in consultation with the Commercial Excellence Lead.
  • Ensure timely rollout of SIPs after alignment with franchise heads, finance, HR, Business Operations head, and legal/compliance teams if needed.
  • Perform timely calculations and alignments with finance.

Business Intelligence (BI) Capabilities (10%)

  • Demonstrate proficiency in tools such as Power BI and Excel.
  • Develop visualization dashboards to track trends for key KPIs, integrating primary sales, secondary sales, and CE KPIs.
  • Utilize advanced analytics to derive insights from complex data sets, providing actionable recommendations to optimize sales strategies.
  • Implement predictive analytics to anticipate market trends and adjust sales tactics accordingly.
  • Establish processes for data integration and correlation between variables to enhance strategic insights.

Training (10%)

  • Train the field force on SFE, CRM modules, and other relevant areas.
  • Outsource training needs to vendors as required, such as digital tools or virtual meeting skills.

Education, Experience, And Skills:

  • Relevant Commercial degree or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Force Effectiveness, CRM systems, and report generation tools.
  • Training experience is preferable.
  • Relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proficiency in Power BI & Excel.
  • Knowledge of analytical applications and tools.
  • Robust knowledge of effective selling measures.
