As a Regional Business Manager working on the Gastroenterology Rare Disease Sales Team, you will be empowered to guide product demand in targeted physician offices and key clinics and impact patients' lives. You will report to the Sr. Regional Business Director.

How you will contribute:

  • You will understand and implement the marketing plan, articulate the value proposition of the brand, and utilize on-label and approved marketing materials only to attain sales/patient objectives for assigned products on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Communicate all disease, product, and formulary information in a manner that is truthful and non-misleading, consistent with Takeda compliance policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Individual must manage their territory using judgment when executing the brand strategy to maximize sales performance within the assigned customer population. This may include physicians within specialty medical practices and their staff, specialists within local hospitals and clinics, and any other appropriate HCPs within their geographic area.
  • The Regional Business Manager will analyze local and regional business/managed markets trends to build both long and short terms goals that lead to a successful business plan.
  • Work compliantly in a matrix environment encompassing Patient Services, Specialty Infusion Pharmacies, and Managed Markets, which includes treating confidential patient information following Takeda policies.
  • Seek clarification from management and Compliance & Legal when uncertain whether a proposed activity could violate the law or compliance policies.
  • You will utilize a consultative selling approach. This will be a technical, selling model enabling the representative to meet the needs of healthcare professionals who treat Short Bowel and/or Ulcerative Colitis patients.
  • Focus efforts on achieving greatest positive patient impact.
  • Manage a territory marketing and promotional speaker program budget in a manner that is consistent with all Takeda compliance policies.
  • Share best practices and participate in Regional/National meetings
  • Utilize CRM system to document account profiles, pre and post call activities.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree – BA/BS
  • 2 + years of pharmaceutical or medical device sales and clinical or industry experience
  • You will discuss therapeutic strategies to inform and influence decision makers
  • You will apply clinical and business expertise, and selling skills
  • Verbal, influencing, presentation and written communication skills
  • Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs, conditions, and work responsibilities.
  • Display an ongoing commitment to learning and self-improvement.
  • Must have valid driver's license issued in US with clean driving record
  • Implement marketing strategies at the local level
  • Demonstrated understanding of managed care landscape and how it influences/impacts business
  • Collaboration skills and success working in teams
  • Specialty injectable sales
  • Sell a product that is distributed through a specialty infusion pharmacy
  • Experience selling a product that requires coordination with patient services
  • Working knowledge of Gastroenterology
  • Orphan drug and specialized medical sales experience

New York - Virtual

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$119,200.00 - $163,900.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
