Senior Operational Excellence Champion (w/m/d)

The Senior Operational Excellence Champion role represents a strategic Lean leadership position focused on organizational transformation, coaching, capability building, roadmap development, and deployment of site-wide improvement programs. The role requires significant experience, advanced Lean expertise, and strong coaching and program management capabilities.

How You Will Contribute:

  • As a member of AGILE team responsible for coaching and training of AGILE Champions and leading and developing Agile initiatives leveraging lean methodologies as well as contributing to the site COP (Core Operating Profit) target

  • Collaborate across the Takeda network to adopt and share best practices

  • Be a champion of change at site/function

AGILE projects

  • Effectively organize the management of the project activities in accordance with best practices and methodologies
  • Embed industry best practices and engage colleagues in a process of continuous improvement
  • Conduct coaching meetings with colleagues on issues and topics of improvement, implementation of initiatives and project activities
  • Perform calculations and visualization of production and economic indicators of the plant
  • Lead the implementation of developed initiatives
  • Organize group work of employees and maintain team spirit in the Agile workshops
  • Ensure the implementation of business efficiency tools, as well as to build a system to maintain them
  • Use modern problem-solving techniques tools for identifying the root causes of problems, ranking and prioritizing measures to eliminate them
  • Analyze the variety of possible risks in project activities
  • Build trusting and professional relationships with colleagues
  • Presentations about all topics related to professional activities
  • Coordination of project teams and initiatives aimed at reducing costs, increasing efficiency and/or safety
  • Lead the work on the analysis of production & support functions
  • Develop and participate in the implementation of initiatives aimed at reducing costs, improving efficiency and/or workplace safety
  • Collect, systematize and analyze information related to production efficiency (within the framework of the company's projects)
  • Support lead initiatives to reduce costs, improve efficiency and/or safety
  • Draw up implementation plans, coordinate the timing and stages of the implementation of initiatives
  • Monitor the achievement of overall performance improvement targets and auxiliary functions of the plant within scope of assignment
  • Form project teams and assign roles to team members
  • Coordinate or calculate the economic effect of the implementation of measures implemented under the projects
  • Ensure periodic preparation and timely provision of analytical materials on the progress of implementation of developed techniques, projects and tools to improve efficiency
  • Evaluate the status and activities of departments to implement efficiency improvement tools, lean production tools and control their implementation
  • Coordinate the training of personnel in new business efficiency techniques and lean production tools
  • Make proposals for the formation of work plans for the unit in terms of their job responsibilities
  • Reporting
  • Provide information on all performed actions considering the relevance of issues and problems to be solved
  • communications on project activity to all stakeholders

Collaboration

  • Closely collaborate with QS&I on defining, prioritising and executing AGILE Quality projects
  • Collaborate with Business Excellence teams within region/OpU to align on best practices e. g. Communities of Practice (CoP)

Site Agile Roadmap

  • Support creation of balanced site roadmap detailing AGILE projects which will be executed in the fiscal year in collaboration with the site/functional leadership team

Coaching:

  • Coach AGILE concepts and mindsets and behaviors across the organization, including Senior Leadership
  • Conduct theoretical and practical training on the topics and tools of the Agile program
  • Provide structured feedback to employees
  • Conduct coaching meetings with colleagues on issues and topics of improvement, implementation of initiatives and project activities

In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, the supervisor may also delegate to the employee other equivalent tasks and activities within the company, that correspond to his or her educational background and abilities.

What You Bring To Takeda:

  • Bachelor´s degree in a technical field/business required, advanced degree is preferred
  • At least 5 years in experience in a Quality, Supply, Supply Chain or Operations environment required the field of implementation of business efficiency projects
  • Demonstrated passion for not accepting the status quo and self-driven to improve the business
  • Courage of conviction and open to critical feedback
  • A positive resilient leader, comfortable networking and connection people
  • Program management capabilities
  • Exceptional coaching, teaching, presentation (oral or written) and facilitations skills
  • Courage/experience to provide coaching/feedback to all levels of the organization including superiors
  • Excellent listening skills and emotional intelligence
  • Systematic thinker and strong knowledge of business processes
  • Flexible and learning agile, demonstrating ability to assimilate new knowledge and standards quickly
  • Excellent knowledge of lean management and problem-solving methodologies (AOS Practitioner Certification and Yellow Belt Certification or equivalents)
  • Presentation-fluent written and spoken English
  • Lean/Six Sigma proficiency certification
