Job Description
About the role:
The Medical Science Liaison plays a key role in bridging the gap between clinical research and practical application by building relationships with key opinion leaders and medical professionals. This role is essential in demonstrating the clinical benefits of Takeda's products and providing valuable medical information to both internal and external stakeholders. By fostering communication between sales, marketing, and clinical teams, this position supports Takeda's mission of improving patient health outcomes.
How you will contribute:
* Build and maintain relationships with thought leaders, medical groups, and health systems to demonstrate the benefits of company products
* Educate clinical professors, teaching-hospital faculty, residents, and students on the benefits of key products
* Provide accurate medical information to internal and external health sources, including the sales force and public
* Identify and explore potential sites for clinical trials at various stages of development
* Conduct or coordinate educational workshops, seminars, and programs for healthcare professionals
* Respond to unsolicited inquiries to enhance understanding of marketed products and related topics
Skills and qualifications:
* Develops strong relationships with key opinion leaders and medical professionals to effectively communicate product benefits.
* Educates healthcare professionals and students on product benefits through structured training sessions.
* Disseminates accurate medical information to various stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.
* Identifies and evaluates potential clinical trial sites, contributing to research development.
* Coordinates and conducts educational workshops and seminars for healthcare professionals.
* Responds to inquiries with comprehensive product knowledge, enhancing stakeholder understanding.
* Follows basic templates and guidelines to create and deliver presentations, with reliance on instructions and pre-defined formats.
* Possesses basic familiarity with handling and structuring data, strictly following guidelines to manage data in straightforward contexts.
* Has basic awareness of clinical research, following protocols and guidelines.
* Possesses minimal understanding of managed care principles, relying on guidelines to assist in the healthcare scheme.
* Follows basic collaboration guidelines and SOPs to contribute in a team setting.
* Has adequate understanding of effective engagement in information exchange, following basic communication guidelines.
