Job Description

About the role:

The Senior Associate Engineer will provide technical expertise to perform front end equipment troubleshooting and equipment maintenance services in resolving equipment problems. He/ She will carry out calibration, repair and corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance activities for utilities and manufacturing equipment; perform utilities, HVAC and WWTP operation in support of Takeda Singapore Manufacturing Activities.

How you will contribute:

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for front end (Mechanical/ E&I) troubleshooting of utilities and manufacturing equipment.

  • Responsible for the execution of Preventive Maintenance, Routine and Low Corrective Maintenance and Instrument Calibration activities.

  • Responsible for the execution of Emergency & Urgent Corrective Work order from screen, job plan and return to operation task.

  • Responsible for the operate Clean Utilities, HVAC and WWTP to supply WDC, WFI, Clean Steam, Compressed Air, Gases to support Takeda Manufacturing activities and treatment of effluent from Baxter Healthcare.

  • Ensure high standard of housekeeping is maintained within operation area and throughout the maintenance activities.

  • Perform routine collection of water sampling for Clean Utilities and COD testing for WWTP.

  • Performance work order administration including charging out of spare parts consumed, maintenance history, time spend, start and end time on the work order.

  • Report any abnormal observation pick up during troubleshooting, maintenance or calibration activities.

  • Report any out of tolerance situation to Maintenance Engineer when performing calibration task.

  • Provide feedback to Maintenance Engineer/ Planner on any improvement for maintenance task/ check list details that were picked up during execution of work order.

  • To perform duty such as PTW Requester, hazard work at height, first aider, confined space entrant and attendance.

  • Perform advance level maintenance task for utilities and manufacturing equipment, instrument calibration and electrical system.

  • Perform advance level application for PCS7 and FMS system in supporting equipment maintenance, operation and complex level trouble shooting for Utilities, HVAC and Manufacturing equipment.

  • Ensure compliance to cGMP, engineering standards like Global Maintenance DP when executing work orders e.g. Good Documentation Practice during maintenance activities.

  • Support implementation of capital or improvement projects.

  • Provide 12-hour rotation shift support duty as per schedule.

  • Support in EHS and Quality regulatory and internal audit.

  • Perform shutdown activities as directed by shutdown lead.

  • Support Maintenance Engineer in conduction maintenance task training, qualification to Junior Staff or contractors.

  • Responsibility to adhere to any applicable EHS requirements.

  • Commitment to a fair and respectful relationship to others and behavior in accordance with Takeda’s Code of Conduct.

  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What you bring to Takeda:

Education and Experience Requirements

  • At least 5 years hands-on maintenance experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment and good understanding of pharmaceutical or Bioscience related industrial requirement.

  • Recognized technical qualification in Mechanical/ Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (NITEC equivalent or higher)

  • Experience in leading a team of Technician and contractor to carry out maintenance task

  • Experience in CMMS system

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong Mechanical or Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance and trouble-shooting skill

  • Able to perform On-The-Job training for other.

  • Proficient in oral and writing in English language.

  • Proficient in MS Office tools such as MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
