About the role:

As a Manufacturing Technician I, you play a key role in producing high-quality medicines that improve patients' lives. You will execute routine manufacturing operations in a cGMP environment, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with all procedures and regulations. In this hands-on role, you will work on the production floor, support cross-functional improvement initiatives, and help keep our processes running smoothly and reliably.

How you will contribute:

  • Execute production processes, including preparing media and buffer solutions and operating general production equipment (e.g., pH and conductivity meters, autoclaves, portable mixers).

  • Operate and monitor CIP/SIP and filtration systems, recording critical process parameters in line with GDP/GMP requirements.
  • Complete and review batch records and other documentation accurately and on time, supporting inspections and audits.
  • Perform equipment cleaning and routine maintenance to ensure a safe, compliant, and inspection-ready manufacturing area.
  • Perform sampling using aseptic techniques and follow basic chemical and biological safety procedures.
  • Assist in troubleshooting process issues, responding to alarms, and supporting continuous improvement activities.
  • Contribute to departmental projects and quality initiatives, including revising or drafting simple procedures and related documents.
  • Support a collaborative team culture by sharing knowledge, training colleagues, and helping to coordinate daily activities as needed.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • High school diploma or GED with 1+ years of related experience, or an associate degree or higher with no prior experience required.

  • Basic knowledge of cGMP manufacturing and pharmaceutical or biotechnology production processes.
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory or production equipment such as autoclaves, process tanks, incubators, analytical instruments, and CIP/SIP systems.
  • Proficiency with basic math and the ability to work with both metric and U.S. measurement systems.
  • Can read and follow detailed written instructions
  • Understanding of basic chemical and biological safety practices.
  • Good computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Important Considerations:

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:

  • Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
  • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
  • Work in a cold, wet environment.
  • Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
  • Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
