About the Role

As the Demand Planner, you will be responsible for managing processes related to the demand, storage, transportation, and distribution of a portion of the Australian & New Zealand product portfolio. This role aims to enhance efficiency and ensure the smooth operation of supply chain activities, contributing to Takeda's mission of delivering better health and a brighter future. This position is based in Sydney, Australia.

What you will do:

  • Supply and Demand Planning: Manage the end-to-end supply and demand planning with key stakeholders to ensure stock is managed at the optimal level in-country to meet the treatment demands of patients whilst mitigating stock write-offs due to obsolescence and short-dated stock.
  • Market Analysis: Understand market demand and changing market trends, working with Commercial teams on the monthly sales forecast, analyzing forecast errors, and assisting Commercial teams to improve their forecast accuracy.
  • Product Launches: Manage new product launches in line with the Commercial plan, leading launch supply discussions with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • System Management: Manage key information within SAP ECC, SAP MDG, and the demand forecast in SAP IBP.
  • Supply Coordination: Coordinate and monitor shipments into the country, focusing on activities up to customs clearance, and manage exports to New Zealand based on forecast requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure safety stock levels are maintained and monitor inventory to prevent excess and obsolete stock.

What we’re seeking in you:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Demonstrated supply chain experience within the Pharmaceutical/FMCG industry.
  • Strong experience in demand management, supply, and inventory planning.
  • Proficiency in SAP ECC, SAP MDG & SAP IBP.
  • Strong computer skills, including demand planning applications, database management tools, and presentation tools.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and agility.
