About the role
Are you looking to grow your career in the pharmaceutical industry? We are looking for an ambitious Product Specialist to join our Specialty IBD team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering parental leave. This role is based in Victoria North/West and includes responsibilities across the Northern Territory.
You will be welcomed into a supportive and experienced team, where you will have the opportunity to continue learning and growing. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in implementing national and local strategies, understanding customer needs, and building long-term relationships with healthcare providers. You will collaborate closely with customers and healthcare professionals to promote Takeda’s products and drive sales, gaining valuable experience and contributing to the success of our initiatives.
What you will do:
- Sales and Promotion: Achieve sales targets through strategic engagement with clients, delivering product promotions, and capitalizing on sales opportunities.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with key influencers in the healthcare sector.
- Strategic Planning: Manage customer accounts and territory plans, leveraging data analytics to track promotional spending and support customer requests.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscapes, effectively communicating complex product information.
- Travel requirements: an interest and ability to travel interstate, and overnight travel, including occasional weekend commitments
What we’re seeking in you:
- Education: Tertiary Degree or postgraduate qualification in Marketing, Business, or Health Sciences is desirable.
- Experience: Knowledge of the Australian Pharmaceutical Market, pharmaceutical sales or Therapy Area is preferred.
- Customer centricity skills: Understands the healthcare ecosystem, drives innovation, creates shared value, builds collaborative partnerships, communicates tailored messages, drives performance.
- Learning Agility: Continuously developing your scientific knowledge within the relevant Therapeutic Area.
