Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Location: TWN - Taipei
About the role:
The (Senior) HR Manager is to enable business success through human resources management through employee lifecycle. This position holder is expected to be the key enabler of Takeda’s People Strategy, embedding our values-based, patient-centered culture, and supporting the evolution of our ways of working to ensure we remain agile, externally focused, and future-ready.
How you will contribute:
Strategic HR Business Partnering
Serve as a trusted partner to local business leaders, understanding their strategic goals and translating them into aligned people and organizational strategies.
Lead workforce planning, talent reviews, and succession planning processes to ensure a robust and future-ready talent pipeline.
Guide leaders through organizational changes, team effectiveness initiatives, and culture-shaping efforts.
People Strategy Execution
Implement global and local HR initiatives in alignment with Takeda’s global People Strategy and business objectives.
Drive cross-functional HR initiatives in partnership with CoEs to support key talent and capability priorities.
Culture, Engagement & Change Management
Champion Takeda’s values and Code of Conduct, fostering a culture of integrity, inclusion, and collaboration.
Lead or support organizational health and engagement initiatives; provide coaching to people managers to enhance team engagement and effectiveness.
Support change management and communication efforts during organizational transitions and transformation initiatives.
Collaboration with CoEs
Work closely with the TA CoE to ensure best-in-class hiring practices, drive inclusive and timely recruitment processes, and influence talent branding efforts in the local market.
Partner with TD to identify development needs, implement learning interventions, and embed leadership and career development programs tailored for Taiwan.
Liaise with TR to manage compensation, benefits, and recognition programs, ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness.
HR Governance & Compliance
Ensure HR practices comply with local labor laws and Takeda’s internal policies.
Manage employee relations issues with integrity and fairness, upholding Takeda’s ethical standards.
Ad hoc HR projects and initiatives whenever needed
What you bring to Takeda:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience, including business partnering.
Strong track record in partnering with business leaders and collaborating with global/regional HR CoEs.
Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated industries preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
Deep understanding of core HR disciplines (talent, rewards, employee relations, org development).
Proven ability to influence, build trust, and drive change across diverse stakeholder groups.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.
Fluent in Mandarin and English, both verbal and written.
