OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

  • Global Corporate Brand & Content, exists to inspire and engage stakeholders, driving confidence in our company’s future.

  • We sustain Takeda’s reputation, internally and externally, through impactful video and written storytelling from across business units, functions and geographies, in line with our distinctive corporate positioning.

  • The Content Manager based in Tokyo plays a critical role as the lead for Japanese localization within the Global Corporate Brand & Content team.

To a lesser degree, this role also involves helping to identify story ideas originating in Japan and overseeing the planning and production of related content to sustain Takeda’s corporate globally.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Establish (along with stakeholders such as Ethics & Compliance, JPBU Comms) audience-focused criteria for which global content will be translated for Japan global website.

  • Localize appropriate global content into Japanese and distribute it across multiple channels (e.g., internal intranet, corporate website, social media) in timely manner.

  • Ensure accuracy by comparing with the original English text and revise for clarity using brand-aligned terminology and natural Japanese expressions suitable for general audiences.

  • Coordinate reviews with Legal, Compliance and Medical departments to ensure content adheres to Japanese promotional codes and Takeda standards. Communicate closely with reviewers to revise expressions and add appropriate references as needed.

  • Engage with various stakeholders to uncover potential story ideas originating in Japan.

  • Supervise content production by collaborating with external vendors.

  • Analyze the performance of Japanese content (e.g., views, engagement rate) from multiple perspectives and provide feedback to the team.

  • Align closely with Global Corporate Affairs teams as well as relevant departments, such as Research & Development, Oncology, Plasma Derived Therapies, and Global Manufacturing & Supply/Global Quality.

  • Allowances: Commutation, Housing, Overtime Work etc.

  • Salary Increase: Annually, Bonus Payment: Twice a year

  • Working Hours: Headquarters (Osaka/ Tokyo) 9:00-17:30, Production Sites (Osaka/ Yamaguchi) 8:00-16:45, (Narita) 8:30-17:15, Research Site (Kanagawa) 9:00-17:45

  • Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays, May Day, Year-End Holidays etc. (approx. 123 days in a year)
