Job Description
OBJECTIVES:
- To provide leadership and technical expertise to the analysis, definition of requirements, design and delivery of Digital Platforms and IT solutions to support Process Analytics in the manufacturing environment
- To manage projects (scope, budget, timelines) to collect data and to deploy global digital CPV & Advanced Analytics solutions in close collaboration with our MSAT (Mfg Science and Analytical Technologies) business partners.
- As technical owner, to organize the maintenance, support and change management processes linked to the solutions in place
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Manages and influences technical analysis, design, development maintenance and configuration of complex and non-routine solutions according to Takeda standards for complex business requirements.
- Uses broad knowledge of information technology and consults with suppliers and various Takeda groups to enhance business solutions and make sure they are aligned with the company standards.
- Work with the Head of Mfg Intelligence and business stakeholders for creating digital roadmaps for complex business solutions and/or systems platforms supporting CPV and other process analytics capabilities
- Defines projects budget/scope/timing with business stakeholders, manages their approval and agile / waterfall execution according to plan
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
- Organize solutions support activities with Application Support groups, vendors and Takeda ICC’s (Innovation Competency Center)
- Makes recommendations for new systems and technologies by using deep understanding of industry trends, business solutions, digital roadmaps and strategic plans.
- Oversees the impact of user enhancement requests to support one or more business solutions and investigates these problems/system requirements.
- Applies System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) to solutions and leads others to work accordingly
- Ensures execution and documentation according to Takeda Quality Management System (QMS), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Life Cycle standards, policies and procedures.
- Owns, maintains and influences technical relationships with vendors in support of projects and ongoing operations.
- Lead a team of internal, contractors and ICC members
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Required:
- Educational Background: Engineer or Master's degree in Computer Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology or similar domains.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in relevant business and technical roles in Pharma or Chemical industry
- Expertise in agile methodologies, digital technology, and data analytics.
- Good understanding of digital technologies applied to manufacturing processes or automation systems
- Strong analytical skills to map data flows and business / manufacturing processes
- Experience with Process Analytics tools such as Biovia Discoverant, Statistica or similar.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large-scale projects.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term strategies and align them with business goals.
- Knowledge of SQL language and Databricks
Preferred:
- Familiarity with pharma regulated systems – high level understanding of computer systems validation.
- Experience with process data collection and contextualization strategies
- Background with AWS hosting technologies and tools
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Access to transportation to attend meetings
- Ability to fly to meetings regionally and globally (Americas/Asia/Europe)
