This role will initially be non-exempt during the training period, making you eligible for overtime.  After successful completion of the training program and meet specific criteria, the position will transition to exempt status of a base salary plus sales incentive bonus.

About the role:
The Specialty Sales, Principal Analyst is responsible for driving sales activities directly to customers, including face-to-face and remote interactions. This role aims to assess customer needs, suggest appropriate products, and develop sales strategies to grow and diversify customer relationships. By contributing to Takeda's sales goals, this role supports the company's mission of delivering better health to people worldwide.

How you will contribute:
* Conduct face-to-face and remote sales to new and existing customers
* Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions
* Develop and deliver sales bids, proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations
* Create medium to long-term sales plans and strategies to protect, grow, and diversify customer relationships
* Manage projects and processes independently with limited supervision
* Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals
* Occasionally lead small project teams and provide informal guidance to junior staff

Skills and qualifications:
* Applies basic biological process knowledge in biotechnology with supervision
* Utilizes selling techniques in straightforward sales situations with coaching
* Manages customer accounts with guidance, understanding basic CRM principles
* Delivers basic presentations, developing audience engagement skills
* Communicates effectively with key stakeholders, requiring guidance in complex discussions
* Understands organizational operations and market dynamics, applying this in familiar contexts
* Recognizes basic cancer types and treatments in oncology with coaching
* Operates medical devices with guidance, gaining practical experience
* Influences using basic techniques in simple contexts, with ongoing coaching
* Identifies basic concepts in Diabetes Mellitus with guidance
* Performs basic CRM interactions, understanding customer relationship dynamics
* Manages hormone-related disorders with ongoing coaching and supervision

As a senior professional, you're adept at solving a range of moderate scope and complexity problems, occasionally referring to policies and practices for guidance. Your work involves analyzing situations and data, exercising judgment within established procedures, and fostering productive relationships internally and externally. You possess solid knowledge of industry practices and contribute to departmental projects and goals, often engaging in frequent internal and external interactions. You may occasionally lead small project teams and provide informal guidance to junior staff, all while working with minimal guidance yourself.

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$63.51 - $87.31


The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
