Job Description

About the role

As an MSAT Data Expert (Plasma), you will play a key role in enabling Takeda's digital manufacturing and data strategy by ensuring high-quality, structured, and analysis-ready CMC process data across the Plasma network. You will partner with cross-functional teams to develop data standards, improve data governance, and support advanced analytics that drive innovation, operational excellence, and compliance.

How you contribute

  • Develop and maintain CMC data taxonomies, ontologies, metadata models, and business rules for the Plasma modality.

  • Ensure CMC process data is accurate, consistent, contextualized, and analysis-ready across systems and manufacturing sites.

  • Partner with MSAT, Manufacturing, Digital, and Quality teams to enable effective data capture, integration, and utilization.

  • Act as the subject matter expert for CMC data governance and stewardship within the Plasma organization.

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of data standards, SOPs, job aids, and governance practices.

  • Enable data integration across manufacturing and enterprise platforms to support modelling, analytics, and digital use cases.

  • Ensure compliance with GxP requirements and contribute to inspection readiness through robust data management practices.

  • Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement while supporting Takeda's digital transformation initiatives.

What you bring to Takeda

  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or another relevant STEM discipline.

  • Experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, ideally supporting CMC, MSAT, Manufacturing, or Plasma operations.

  • Knowledge of CMC process data, data modelling, metadata management, taxonomies, ontologies, or data governance principles.

  • Familiarity with GxP-regulated environments and an understanding of data integrity requirements.

  • Experience working with manufacturing or laboratory systems such as MES, LIMS, OSI PI, Databricks, or similar digital platforms is advantageous.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex process knowledge into structured, high-quality data solutions.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary and global teams.

  • Passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and enabling data-driven decision making through high-quality digital capabilities.
