Job Description
About the role:
Own the OT Solutions product vision, roadmap, and backlog forsupplaychain,manufacturingoperationsandshopfloor digitalization, delivering measurable operational value alignedwithOT Programs strategyand regulated (GxP) expectations.
Lead theidea‑to‑productpathway by translating OT innovation concepts into MVPs/PoCsand structured experiments, defining success metrics and evidencerequiredto support scale decisions (standardize / iterate / stop) through established governance.
Identifyand prioritizehigh‑valueuse cases across manufacturing and supply chain; translate needs into clear product outcomes and acceptance criteria in partnership with sites and key functions.
Enable release readiness and foundations for scale by leading user validation inputs, testing readiness, documentation, and reusable patterns to support compliant transition into deployment and sustainment models.
How you will contribute:
Own, manage, and prioritize the OT solutions product backlog (features/user stories); define sequencing and release scope, track milestones, and ensure transparency on priorities andtrade‑offs.
Define product roadmap and release plan (e.g., quarterly) with measurable outcomesand KPIs (adoption, cycle time,right‑first‑time, reliability, etc.).
Define solution outcomes, acceptance criteria, and release readiness gates (incl. operational readiness, cybersecurity, validation impact, and support model) to enablea scalable solution
Lead Innovationlabidea execution by translating concepts into MVPs/PoCs; coordinate technical activities,validatefeasibility and operational robustness, document outcomes, and provide recommendations to inform governance scale decisions.
Lead cross-functional stakeholder engagement to align priorities and sequencing, resolvedeliveryand release readiness issues, andmaintaintransparent communication on risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.
Own product value tracking: baseline current performance where possible, track KPI movement and realized/expected value, and recommend continue/stop/scale decisions through governance.
Manage product risks and controls: identify/mitigate compliance, data integrity, cybersecurity, and operational risks; ensure products meet regulated environment expectations and audit readiness.
Actasescalation point for product scopedecisions (priorityconflicts,valuetrade‑offs, and releasereadiness),coordinatingresolutionwith Quality/Validation/Cybersecurity andplatformownersper governance.
What you bring to Takeda:
Education & Experience:Bachelor’s (or higher) in Engineering or related discipline; typically 7+ years in OT/automation/digital manufacturing within regulated industries (e.g., pharma/life sciences preferred), including product ownership (backlog/roadmap/release planning, requirements/user stories, value tracking) for OT solutions from MVP/PoC through scale readiness; strong exposure toGxP/CSV, data integrity, and compliance expectations; experience working with vendors/system integrators; working knowledge of OT cybersecurity fundamentals.
Behavioural & Leadership Competencies: Strong problem-solving and judgment; ability to influence across functions/cultures; effective communication; continuous improvement mindset while navigating ambiguity.
Professional & Functional Skills: OT solution delivery across the innovation lifecycle; OT cybersecurity and interoperability fundamentals; ability to translate operational needs into scalable, practical OT solutions and drive value realization.
