ABOUT THE ROLE
At this pivotal moment for Takeda, the IBU seeks a Qdenga Market Access & Payer Value Head who will lead global strategy and execution across value, access, and pricing for Qdenga. This role will influence launch and lifecycle decisions by embedding payer, HTA, reimbursement, and policy considerations into enterprise decision-making and cross-functional planning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the global Qdenga value, access, and pricing strategy.
- Drive integration of access and value into prioritization and governance decisions.
- Oversee development of global value propositions, dossiers, payer tools, and HTA readiness plans.
- Provide leadership for health economic modeling, including dynamic transmission models, cost-effectiveness, and budget impact.
- Partner with local teams to support HTA submissions, payer engagement, and reimbursement strategy.
- Serve as the senior vaccines access and value leader in governance forums, elevating payer, HTA, reimbursement, and policy implications in strategic decision-making.
- Engage with executive leadership in IBU and Global Medical organizations as necessary
- Join leadership team of IBU Market Access group to ensure strong communication, collaboration and transparency across teams.
- Monitor global pricing, reimbursement, and policy trends and advise senior leadership on implications for the brand.
- Represent Takeda externally in appropriate scientific, policy, and market access forums to strengthen credibility and shape the environment.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing global market access team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and talent development in a highly matrixed global environment.
- Build organizational capability, operating models, and ways of working that increase speed, quality, and strategic impact across the vaccines business.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred in health economics, epidemiology, statistics, public health, business, or related field.
- 20+ years of relevant biopharmaceutical, vaccine, or healthcare experience.
- 15+ years in leadership roles across global market access, pricing, health economics, HEOR, or value strategy.
- Deep expertise in HTA, payer evidence, reimbursement, pricing strategy, and global market access.
- Strong understanding of global healthcare markets
- Prior vaccine experience preferred.
